REPORT GENERATION

ABOUT THE REPORT GENERATION FUNCTION

This function facilitates generation of reports for critical processes and/or listing of information required to be tracked by JIRAN System Administrators.

This report generation function supports the following capabilities:

·         Allows for the previewing of results before the actual report is printed.

·         Allows for the generation of reports as softcopy outputs, e.g., PDF, XLS, RTF or CSV files.

 

HOW TO GENERATE A REPORT?

1.       Click on the REPORTS function from the JIRAN system main menu.

2.       Once in this function, you will see a list of reports available for your selection.

3.       Alternatively, you can also key in the report name or report id in the filter option and click on the  icon to search for the report.

4.       Click on the report you wish to generate.

5.       Enter the report generation criteria and click on PREVIEW to view the results.

IThe report generation criteria will differ according to the type of report being generated.

6.       The system will then display (preview) the results on the screen.

7.       To print the report, you will need to EXPORT the report into the desired format.

8.       Select the EXPORT TO option, e.g., PDF, XLS, XLSX (Windows 2010 Excel format), RFT, or CSV format.

9.       Click on EXPORT thereon.

10.   The system will prompt you to either SAVE or OPEN the exported results.

11.   Click on the following:

a.    OPEN – to open and view the results of the report generation. You can choose to further save the report to a preferred destination or print the report thereon.

b.    SAVE – to save the generated results to a preferred location from the application used to generate this report, e.g. Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel or Word.

c.    CANCEL – to stop this process.

 

ABOUT THE HISTORY TAB

1.       The HISTORY tab displays the report printing activities of a user.

2.       It allows the RA System Administrators to monitor the generation of sensitive reports by designated users.
