USER AUTHENTICATION DETAILS

WHY THIS FUNCTION IS NEEDED?

This function allows System Administrators to manage users in the JIRAN system, especially in when their passwords requires to be reset.

A record is created in this table when their user id is registered in the system.

 

HOW TO ACCESS THIS FUNCTION?

1.       Enter the required search criteria under the FILTER option (partial searches are supported).

2.       Click on SEARCH.

3.       To search for a specific user id record, enter your search criteria (partial search supported) and click on SEARCH

 

VIEWING AND CHANGING USER DETAILS

1.       Click on the  icon to view the details of the specific user record.

3.       Enter the user’s new passphrase values and repeat the same in the CONFIRM PASSPHRASE field.

4.       Click SAVE to save the record.

5.       Users will be prompted to change their passphrase at their next login.

IThe changing of user’s passphrases can also be carried out from the MEMBERS & USERS function.

 

MAINTAINING CUSTOM ATTRIBUTES?

1.    Custom attributes are ad-hoc values tagged to a user record to handle a special processing requirement.

2.    JIRAN system administrators will be informed if specific inclusion of custom-attributes is required.

3.    This document only outlines how custom attributes are maintained in the system.

4.    To include custom attributes to a user record, switch to the CUSTOM ATTRIBUTE tab and click on the CREATE command button.

5.    To delete the custom attribute record, click on the  icon from the custom attribute display grid.

6.    Click DELETE to remove the record.

7.    You should see the record being removed from the display grid thereon
