
In JIRAN, users are able to bind a certain field,
e.g., drop down selection, to a lookup value (similar to a code value table).
As the dictates, this lookup value is a flexible
way of including new drop down values without impacting the system.
Lookup values can be retrieved from one of the
following methods:

A pre-defined code value table; or
·
A stored procedure that retrieves the drop down value for users
selection
The Lookup Maintenance function facilitates for
the following:
·
Display of lookup values maintained in the system (and the total count).
·
Creation of a lookup value.
·
Updating of a lookup value.
·
Deletion of a lookup value.
1.
Click on the LOOKUP
function from the JIRAN system main menu.

Once in this function, define the
following search criteria to retrieve the desired record:

Click on SEARCH icon
to initiate the search criteria.

The maintenance of a lookup value by stored procedure or lookup tables
are dependent on the roll-out of new system patches.

By default, these values will be pre-defined in the system.

Please consult the System Vendor for the maintenance of any lookup
values.
INote:
The System Vendor will advise the JIRAN System Administrators on any new
definition of lookup values.
