CAMERA MAINTENANCE

ABOUT CAMERA MAINTENANCE FUNCTION

The camera maintenance function facilitates the setup of cameras to be used in the system

This maintenance function facilitates for the following:

·         Display of the cameras maintained in the system.

·         Creation of camera details.

·         Updating of camera details.

·         Deletion of camera details.

 

 

HOW TO SEARCH FOR A CAMERA RECORD?

1.       Click on the CAMERA MAINTENANCE function from the JIRAN system main menu.

2.       Once in this function, define the following search criteria to retrieve the service level record desired:

DESCRIPTION

Filter

Denotes a free text search criteria.  Partial search is supported.

 

3.       Click on SEARCH once you have defined the required search criteria.

 

 

HOW TO CREATE A NEW CAMERA RECORD?

1.    Click on the CAMERA MAINTENANCE function from the JIRAN system main menu.

2.    Click on NEW CAMERA to initiate the creation of the new camera record.

3.    The system will display the CAMERA DETAILS screen for you to enter the required details.

4.    Enter the following information to create a new camera record:

DATA FIELDS

DESCRIPTION

Camera Id

Defaulted to NEW

Description

Enter the full description of the camera

Task Code

Enter the task code for the camera. This task code can be used to assign it to different user types in order to restrict all users from viewing all cameras.

Camera Type

Denotes that the camera will retain the captured videos for archival or review purposes

Recording Path

Denotes the path where the recorded images are stored

 

5.       Click on SAVE to create the service level record.

 

 

HOW TO UPDATE A CAMERA RECORD?

1.    Click on the CAMERA MAINTENANCE function from the JIRAN system main menu.

2.    Enter the search criteria and click on SEARCH to retrieve the desired camera record.

3.    Select the service level record  to be updated from the CAMERA LISTING screen.

4.    Update the following values for the record:

a.    The description of the camera

b.    The task code for the camera

c.    The camera type

d.    The recording path of the camera

5.    Click on SAVE to create the record.

INote: The Camera Id itself cannot be amended. The record must be deleted before it can be replaced.

 

HOW TO DELETE A CAMERA RECORD?

1.    Click on the CAMERA MAINTENANCE function from the JIRAN system main menu.

2.    Enter the search criteria and click on SEARCH to retrieve the desired camera record.

3.    Select the service level record  to be updated from the CAMERA LISTING screen.

4.    Click on DELETE to remove the record.
